Mr. Jason Folsom

Mr. Jason Folsom

Principal

As the principal of Dublin Primary School, I would like to take a moment and introduce myself to everyone. This year will be my 19th year in the education field. I moved to North Carolina from western Pennsylvania in 2005 to teach Health and P. E. and coach soccer. While in education, I have taught Health and P. E., coached both soccer and wrestling, and served as an assistant principal and as a principal. I have been in administration for Bladen County Schools for 6 years. I enjoy spending time with my family, participating in many outdoor activities, watching various sports, and visiting the many beautiful areas of North Carolina. I am married to my wife, Lauren, and we have two wonderful children, Easton and Mallory.

Mrs. Heather Thompson

Assistant Principal

Born and educated in Bladen County, Mrs. Heather Guyton Thompson is elated to be a part of Dublin Primary School.

Mrs. Thompson graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2001 with a double major in English and History. After graduating, Mrs. Thompson returned to Bladen County Schools, teaching at Bladen/Elizabethtown Middle and Clarkton School of Discovery. During her time in the classroom, Mrs. Thompson served as Junior Beta Club Sponsor, NC Junior Beta Club State Sponsor, Athletic Director, School Improvement Chair, and cheerleading coach at the middle and Varsity levels.

After obtaining her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, she has held administrative roles at East Bladen High School and Clarkton School of Discovery.

My passion is the students. Watching a student grow into a life-long learner is the greatest reward.

Mrs. Thompson resides in Bladenboro with her husband, Patrick, their dogs Jackie Brown and Nick Saban (named after her favorite football coach), and numerous cats. She loves to dance and spend time at the beach.

Our Mission
We, at Dublin Primary School, expect children to learn and achieve mastery of basic grade level skills, regardless of their previous academic performance, family background, socioeconomic status, race, or gender.

We believe that the purpose of our school is to encourage students to reach their highest level of academic performance while promoting positive social growth through community involvement and interaction.
